Add guests one by one or from a spreadsheet

Add a guest by hand, or import your whole guest list from a CSV file.

Your guest list lives on the event's Guests screen. Open the event and press Open guests on the Guests card.

Add one guest

1. Press Add guest.
2. Type their First name and Last name. Add their Email and Phone if you have them, and a Table if the event uses tables.
3. If they've agreed to get texts about this event, tick They agreed to receive texts about this event.
4. Under Bidder number, leave the next free number (or At check-in), or press Choose… to pick a number you held back or type a free one.
5. Press Continue, check the details, then press Add guest.

The guest starts as Invited until they add their pass to their phone.

Import a spreadsheet

1. From your spreadsheet, save or download the guest list as a CSV file. The first row needs column headings, including First name and Last name. You can also have Email, Phone, Table and SMS consent columns. For SMS consent, write yes for each guest who agreed to texts.
2. Press Import CSV and choose the file.
3. Paddlit shows the first few guests so you can check them. If anything in the file needs fixing, such as an email that doesn't look right or a table outside your range, it lists each row to fix and nothing is imported. Fix the file and press Choose another file.
4. Tick Send each new guest their add-link now if you're ready for them to get their passes, then press Continue.
5. Press Import guests.

Anyone already on the list is skipped, not added twice. One undo takes back the whole import.

Good to know

Each email address belongs to one guest. If you add someone with an email another guest already uses, Paddlit asks how to go on, for example Use a different email or Add without an email.

Bidder numbers are given out the way the event's settings say: from the lowest free number when guests are added, or when they check in.

Guests you add before the night count toward your plan's guest limit. If adding them would go over it, Paddlit says how many more you can add.
